**Update I am cautiously optimistic not to interact with David again as he was argumentative to the feedback some of my family members had to him about his customer service skills. Both lead dentists called me later that day and provided me with a compassionate, supportive conversation that reflects the standard and interactions I’ve had for years at Walnut Creek. I’m very grateful for their validation and quickness to remedy the situation. They were understanding and sincere so I came back and got the wonderful appointment I was hoping for. Dr Peters was empathetic, gentle and thorough with my cleaning and I would recommend her to anyone. Everyone I had the pleasure of interacting with made it a wonderful experience to be there and I rebooked for my next 6 month cleaning.** **Original review** I am bewildered by the coldest client interaction I had today. I have been coming to Walnut Creek for years and have always been met with warm, kind smiles, conversation and care. Today was unfortunately not that case and I won’t be back because of it. I came waddling in 9 months pregnant, looking forward to my prenatal, gentle cleaning and addressing calcium concerns with this pregnancy and my teeth. Everything takes longer when you’re the size of a dwarf planet and I am usually right on time. Today I had to park farther away, was 10 (out of breath) minutes late to an empty lobby and had the coldest interaction with a man who had no care or people skills for the general public, let alone the pregnant public. He told me he had already gone back to tell the dentist I was a no show and now I had missed my appointment (late policies are understandable but this 10 minute cancellation must be a new policy I was unaware of). He gestured to the clock as if I was oblivious to the world around me, told me it was now 11 minutes past and gave me a stern look, waiting for some sort of reaction from me. It felt like he was prepped and ready for a fight from a client to argue with him or something else must have made him frustrated to be stern and cold with me but it resulted in me swiftly declining to reschedule with some of the best dentists I’ve ever had and crying in my car. That was a worse feeling than a stranger telling me how huge I look. Unrelated, but powerful nonetheless. I work in customer service and I know exactly how to treat people, especially when to give unfortunate news because of a clients’ consequences. I can also be self aware as that client and take responsibility just fine, but his customer service skills were so below basic standard of working with people and a terrible representation of any interaction I’ve had at Walnut Creek and unfortunately the reason my family and I will not be returning.

great experience. has been my dentist for 10 months now and there billing is fare. also they are very accommodating and willing to listen to any fears i have. as someone with anxiety about dentists this place made me feel safe.

When a friend of mine actively recommended a dentist, I laughed it off. Thought it was like getting recommended an executioner. But I was super wrong, Dr. Peters and her team were professional, kind, deeply concerned with making it as comfortable as possible.
